De titanium bussen hadden diepe schade veroorzaakt aan de koolstofstalen eindplaatoppervlakken, wat dringend onderhoud vereiste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kosten \u00e9n tijd beheersen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Voor het herstel stonden drie opties open:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vervanging van beide eindplaten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installatie van nieuwe titanium bussen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reparatie en bescherming van de eindplaten met een Belzona-coating.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>De eerste twee opties brachten hoge kosten met zich mee. Vervanging van de eindplaten was niet alleen prijzig, maar ook tijdrovend. Deze aanpak bleek niet alleen kosteneffectief, maar ook snel uitvoerbaar. Alle aangetaste gebieden werden hersteld met <strong>Belzona 1511 (Super HT-Metal)<\/strong>, een hoogtemperatuur, oplosmiddelvrije epoxy die is ontwikkeld voor metaalreparaties. Deze compound biedt uitstekende hechting en is bestand tegen hoge temperaturen, wat essentieel is voor toepassingen in warmtewisselaars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vervolgens kregen de eindplaten een dubbele laag <strong>Belzona 1391S<\/strong> coating, elk van 375 \u00b5m dik. Belzona 1391S is een epoxy-coating die speciaal is ontwikkeld voor hoge-temperatuur toepassingen in omgevingen met sterke chemische belasting. De coating biedt superieure bescherming tegen corrosie en erosie, en is geschikt voor continue onderdompeling in hete vloeistoffen en stoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resultaat:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dankzij deze methode was de warmtewisselaar binnen een week volledig hersteld en operationeel.
