This is the <strong>highest risk classification<\/strong> in the ATEX system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When is ATEX Zone 0 relevant?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You find ATEX Zone 0 in extreme cases, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Inside chemical tanks or reactors<\/strong> containing flammable liquids.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Confined spaces<\/strong> where gas or vapor accumulation is permanent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certain offshore modules<\/strong> with continuous hydrocarbon presence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For you as a safety officer or plant manager, ATEX Zone 0 means <strong>only specially certified \u201cintrinsically safe\u201d equipment may be used<\/strong>. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinovo.eu\/begrippenlijst\/atex-zone-1\/\">ATEX Zone 1<\/a> tools are not suitable here. Maintenance often requires shutdowns, inerting, or specialized robotic equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Extra explanation about ATEZ zone 0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ATEX gas zones overview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Zone 0<\/strong> \u2013 continuous explosive atmosphere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zone 1<\/strong> \u2013 likely during normal operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zone 2<\/strong> \u2013 abnormal or short-lived presence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinovo.eu\/product-category\/vacuum-blasting-machine\/\">Pinovo\u2019s blasting technology<\/a> is <strong>not intended for direct use in Zone 0<\/strong>, because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continuous explosive atmosphere demands \u201cintrinsic safety\u201d (IS) or specially designed equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacuum blasting with grit requires air movement that could disturb the explosive medium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinovo.eu\/\">Pinovo<\/a> enables you to <strong>blast safely just outside Zone 0 areas<\/strong> (for example, on tank exteriors or adjacent structures classified as Zone 1).
